Monterey to Pacific Grove and back




Suicide Prevention Service is pleased to announce this year's annual fundraising event, the Coastal Trail Walk, to be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014. The walk will begin in Monterey and follow the scenic trail towards Pacific Grove and back. This event follows the commemoration of World Suicide Prevention Day, which is Wednesday, September 10th.


A Spectacular Walk


The Coastal Trail Walk is a fun, family event and will begin a new tradition for all members of the community to celebrate life and support the programs of Suicide Prevention Service. The Coastal Trail offers some of the most scenic vistas and ocean views on the Monterey Bay. This is certain to be a memorable experience for all.

For a Great Cause. Sponsorship benefits Suicide Prevention Service - a program of Family Service Agency of the Central Coast. Chances are that the suicide of a loved one, friend, or colleague will affect each of us. As a community, we are diminished by each and every loss. For family and friends, the pain can be unbearable without substantial support. Suicide Prevention Service provides education, a 24-hour suicide crisis line, school programs and grief support.

Friends Asking Friends, a program developed by Kintera, Inc., allows organizations such as Suicide Prevention Service to offer online registration and fee payment for their special events, like our Coastal Trail Walk. We encourage you to make use of this option. If, however, you prefer to use a mail-in procedure, that option is available by clicking on "Mail-in forms" (see left column under "Information") and selecting the appropriate form.
